Zhihan Zhang (张之涵) was born in Ezhou, Hubei, China. He started to study computational chemistry with Prof. Zhuofeng Ke at Sun Yat-sen University from 2012 to 2016. He pursued his Ph.D. under supervision of Prof. Zhenyang Lin at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology from 2016 to 2020. After two years of postdoc research with Prof. Peiyuan Yu at Southern University of Science and Technology, he joined Prof. Wen-Jing Xiao’s team as a professor at Central China Normal University in the end of 2022. His research interests include 3d-metal catalysis and asymmetric radical transformation with a focus on the role of electronic structures on the reaction mechanism, and he is also interested in the application of machine learning on photochemistry.
